9/11 Prayer Service Held at OLPH Convent
The Sisters at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Convent held a prayer service for 9/11 yesterday evening.
Led by Sr. Evelyn Lamoureux, the service featured a moment for the Sisters to pray for people who were affected on September 11, 2001, moments of silence, and hymns.
The Sisters were given a packet titled “Evening Prayer on the Anniversary of ‘9/11’” to follow along with the prayers, readings, and songs. Today marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
A bulletin board is set up in the community room at OLPH with facts about 9/11 and photos from before and after the attack on the World Trade Center.
Almost 3000 people were killed on 9/11, and Patriot Day is an annual observance to remember those who died or were injured on that day.
