Prayer Cards Connect Shoppers to OLPH’s Spirit of Prayer

As shoppers eagerly searched for hidden gems at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Convent’s recent Tag Sale, Sr. Pat Schmidt and Sr. Grace Malonzo greeted each visitor with radiant smiles and a heartfelt gift, infusing the event with warmth and generosity that radiated the spirit of the OLPH community. This thoughtful offering—a beautifully designed 5 x 7 card featured a heartfelt introduction and invitation. One side reads, in short, “… Our presence here centers around prayer. It is our way of bringing positive Divine energy to the world that God so loves, both in its joys and its struggles. We welcome your presence among us.” On the opposite side is a beautifully composed prayer by Sr. Pat Schmidt, DW, intended as a daily affirmation. Adding to the sense of connection that day, prayer request forms were also available; those submitted were placed in a wooden collection bowl, a cherished part of the convent’s chapel, crafted by the late Sr. Edna English, DW, where Sisters offer prayers during daily Mass.
