Sister's Fundraiser Collects $600 for Local Food Pantry

Sometimes the smallest moments spark the greatest acts of compassion. While on her way to a doctor’s appointment, Sr. Marie Sopr, DW, witnessed a line of women and children waiting for food at the St. Louis de Montfort Church food pantry in Port Jefferson, Long Island. Deeply moved by their courage and need, she felt a call to action—a call that quickly echoed throughout the community. In just two weeks, united by hope and generosity, $600 was raised for the Church’s Outreach Center, proving that together, we can transform concern into lasting impact.
