Living Right Relationship with God, Self and Others
As Daughters of Wisdom, we are committed to the Justice of Wisdom, which calls us both to announce the good news of God’s reign and to denounce unjust systems and structures which work against the coming of that reign.
We strive to grow in an understanding of the deep relationship between Wisdom and Justice, and to live in right relationship and a spirit of reconciliation among ourselves and with all people.
Join us in our efforts for a more just, inclusive world.
In living the Justice of Wisdom, we commit ourselves to advocacy for the Earth regarding water by:
- Influencing public policy
- Taking informed action regarding Earth’s water resources and
the effects of water scarcity, especially on women and children
- Conserving water in our homes and work environments
- Allocating resources to the construction of safe water systems.
We commit ourselves to participate in immigrant issues to effect systemic change through advocacy on individual, community and national levels.
Close the School of the Americas
The School of the Americas (SOA) trains Latin American soldiers in combat, counter-insurgency, and counter-narcotics. Graduates of the SOA are responsible for some of the worst human right abuses in Latin America.
Daughters of Wisdom have come to Ft. Benning, Georgia over the past seven years to give witness to the terrible abuse of human rights perpetrated by graduates of the SOA. We will continue to stand at the gates of the SOA in solidarity with thousands of others until this "school" of terror is closed.
Join us in partnership with these and other groups working for justice.
