Ministry Fund
Contributions made to the Daughters of Wisdom’s Ministry Fund help support the following ministries:

Scholarship Programs for Minority Groups at Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center in Litchfield, CT. In operation since 1967, Wisdom House is owned and operated by the Daughters of Wisdom.

Wisdom’s Center, a drop-in Center for women in Lewiston, ME, has been ministering to women and their children since 1999. Founded by the Daughters of Wisdom, the Center serves the needs of women in crisis and/or transition.

In The Making, Inc., an employment readiness program for unemployed and underemployed women located in Waterbury, CT, founded in 1998 by Sr. Rosemary McKenna, a Daughter of Wisdom, and Sr. Marie Burke, a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur.

Community Development for Haiti Program provides funds for various development projects through the Daughters of Wisdom’s Haitian Province. Photo of meeting in HaitiWe are currently funding a water project in the village of Mare Rouge in Haiti to provide the people in the community access to a clean water source.

Donations to the Ministry Fund are also used to help support the work of Sisters who labor in ministries where there is an acute social need, but often no funding for salaries.
